Microsoft sponsored Teledesic has signed an agreement with Lockheed Martin and Motorola to help build a satellite communications network.

Lockheed Martin will supply two heavy-lift launchers to send Teledesic's satellites into orbit. Motorola will plan and build the network.

Work is planned to start within three months.
