C Sql Net Senior Programmer Analyst

Asset management group in Central Westchester County, NY, seeking a Senior Programmer/Analyst for a global equities research department. Client is a major money management group, in business more than 30 years.

Responsibilities involve participating in the design, implementation, and support of software solutions for their global equities research department. In addition to dealing with various IT personnel, candidates will interact with senior personnel in other departments including: Research Analysts, Chief Investment Officers/Directors of Research, Senior Portfolio Managers, and quantitative analysts. New applications will be mostly developed using C#, ASP.net, COM+, SAS and MS-SQL, but may include portions written in Java. This position will allow the candidate to broaden his/her knowledge of the equity markets, helping to build tools to support a buyside equity research department.

This position requires a BS degree, skill with SQL (Microsoft or Sybase) and (in order of preference) C#, Java, C++, VB or Delphi. Candidates must have excellent oral and written communication skills and must be a team player. Business knowledge especially relating to the equity markets is a huge plus willing to learn is a requirement>.

Statistics or quant skills a large plus. Experience with data vendor products such as Factset Cornerstone or Bloomberg is also attractive.

Any of the following technical skills are also a plus: ASP.net, COM+, SAS, perl, XML/XSL, HTML, Visio, MS Project, MS Office programming (esp. Excel), UML, data modeling tools such as erWin, Crystal reports or similar reporting tool.

Position is easliy commutable via MetroNorth Commuter RR, and is convenient to I-287, and the Westchester Parkways. Some time will be required in the client's Midtown Manhattan offices.

Salary: up to about 120K base.
